BIOGRAPHY
Mediums and styles I work in...
From the age of 5 I knew I wanted to be an artist. Formal training I received was a BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design where I specialised in Ceramics, 3D, and surface pattern. I studied Mural Design for a while at Chelsea College of Art, particularly enjoying stained glass.
Life took on another route with family and moving abroad, where I homeschooled our 3 children for 8 years. On returning to the UK I had a desire to focus on just painting rather than design for a while.. which I enjoyed immensely. I have done some short courses over the recent years with Louise Fletcher and Nicholas Wilton (Both contemporary Abstract artists)
As a painter I work mainly in acrylics, watercolours, pen, collage and occasionally oils. But I am always pushing myself as an artist so I don't rule anything out! I am inspired by beautiful landscapes, nature and the play of colour and light. My styles vary from illustrative; to impressionistic, to abstract. Read more about my methods in the Blog.

I also like to quilt, experiment with natural plant dyes, and get lost down lots of creative "bunny trails"!

I am a creative. I love to paint, play with colour, journal, write poetry, sketch, and observe. I like to share my passion for creativity with all ages and all levels of ability. I believe everyone has ability to be creative in some form or other. I really enjoy blogging about my work and what is inspiring or intriguing me at the moment!
